About Her:
Lucy has found her way into fame, she says it's because while she was growing up she had to fight alot (I wonder why: 5 brothers). She has become a role model for many women, and especially young women. She's not like everybody else who's so thin you could see through them. Lucy feels it's about time that there is another woman hero type, it's been too long since Lynda Carter in the 70's was basically the last one. Lynda Carter played Wonder Woman. Lucy has however become somewhat of a feminist icon, this bothered her, but she eventually found it empowering. She didn't originally like the idea because she is not a feminist (good for her).

Facts:
Lucy once studied opera as well as several languages including: German, French and Italian. All taken at Auckland University in New Zealand. She got married to Garth Lawless hastily after Garth had gotten her pregnant. Lucy and Garth moved to Vancouver, British Columbia which is where she studied acting and her husband Garth was bartending. Soon after she got the role of Xena she divorced Garth in 1995. She then later in 1998 married the executive producer Rob Tapert of Xena: Warrior Princess.
